LANGUEDOC - VIN DE PAYS - BLANC - TERRASSES DU LARZAC - Note Parker : ND WS=ND
Note Parker: 88/100. A boire. Note 15/20. source GaultMillau. The 2010 L’In - the Vidals’ second rendition of a tank-rendered blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, and Vermentino on galets roules that benefit from cool air funneled down the Gorge de l’Herault - is rather Riesling-like in its aromas of apple, lime, and clover. There is also a faintly and attractively prickly, flor-like note. Persistently juicy on the palate, with bitter hints of lime zest and apple pip joined by saline and seemingly crystalline mineral notes, this finishes with panache and refreshment. I would plan to enjoy it over the next couple of years. The Vidals speculate that it may take on a honeyed aura, which was already the case with the admittedly much softer and less inspiring inaugural effort. I would plan on drinking this 2010 over the next 12-18 months. From chalky and cobbled soils proximate to Puechabon and St.-Jean-de-Fos - including sites almost on the rim of the Herault gorge - Laurent and Genevieve Vidal are continuing to render some of the more distinctively, indeed diversely delicious wines in the Terrasses du Larzac. source Parker.
